Courtney Elizabeth Bacon-Latina and her husband, Ron Latina, moved to Malvern in September of 2015 and Courtney was ordained here at First Presbyterian Church on October 25, 2015. Courtney Elizabeth Bacon-Latina and her husband, Ron Latina, moved to Malvern in September of 2015 and Courtney was ordained here at First Presbyterian Church on October 25, 2015. Courtney was raised in Camden, AR, graduated from the U of A, Fayetteville in 1997, received a Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University in 2003, and a Master’s degree in New Testament Studies from Princeton Seminary in 2005. She later received Master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2018.
Courtney is currently working on a Doctor of Philosophy degree in New Testament at Trinity Bristol College in England. Courtney is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Associate Counselor with the State of Arkansas. She has experience with individual and couple’s counseling, group counseling, grief counseling, and as an adjunct professor at various seminaries.
Courtney is married to Ron Latina, who is also an ordained non-denominational minister, and businessman. Ron recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration and Political Science from the University of Central Arkansas in 2021. Ron has an amazing voice, is active in the choir and contemporary worship services, and blesses the church with solos periodically. Ron and Courtney have a young-adult daughter, Micah, who lives and works in Florida and a child, Lilliana, who was born in 2016.
